A sense of National pride discipline and compassion are to be inculcated in the students so that they develop as responsible citizens of the society. National Service Scheme (NSS) |
The National Service Scheme (NSS) is available in this college since 1996-97 academic year. In this scheme a special camp of ten days duration is organized for students. Students of this college was selected at the state level and at the University level in the academic year 2004-05 and 2005-06. Regular programme are organised in this scheme at “Gokul Gram”, “Nirmal Gram” and at the “Adopted Gram” in the area. |
The NSS Scheme |
The National Service Scheme, popularly known as NSS, the scheme was launched in Gandhiji’s Centenary year, 1969. Aimed at developing student’s personality through community service. NSS, is a voluntary association of young people in Colleges, Universities and at +2 level working for a campus-community linkage. The cardinal principle of the NSS programme is that it is organised by the students themselves, and both students and teachers through their combined participation in community service, get a sense of involvement in the tasks of nation building. |
